Hello families, I hope you had a good spring break! Here is what we got up to this week:  Maps of Canada are now all labeled and coloured. In Science and Social Studies we have begun our inquiry of Canadian natural landforms, types of water, transportation, resources, and ways of life.

Hello families, It was a busy week preparing for conferences and wrapping up some learning before the break! Here is what we got up to: We had our last two walking field trips with YellowSteps.  After reviewing the photos students took, we discussed whether the structures we observed were helpful or harmful to humans and animals in the community. We then explored diamante poems, and each student created their own to describe a chosen image using nouns, adjectives, and verbs.

Hello families, Here is what we got up to this week: We learned about the seventh and final Sacred Teaching, Truth, represented by the turtle. The turtle carries all the teachings on its shell, reminding us to be true to ourselves and try our best each day. To deepen our understanding, we created clay turtles and designed their shells to represent all the animals, symbolizing how turtle holds all of them together.
