Hello families , This last week of school was full of joy and cheer! As a gift to students we created tree ornaments inspired by the book The Mitten by Jan Brett. In math students who were not done completed their T-Shirt Problem bar graphs and we spent the week playing math games! Some of the math games included Candy Cane Count-On and Snowman Bump. In Science we learned about matter and how it makes up everything in our world. We then looked at the different states of matter: solids, liquids, and gas. Depending on the state, we learned that the particles are spread apart or closer together. Students then took part in a scavenger hunt defining items based on their state of matter. Students also completed a sort to demonstrate their understanding of the three states of matter. In Social Studies students finished up their Sacred Teaching pages about courage.
