Hello  families , This last week of school was full of joy and cheer! As a gift to students we created tree ornaments inspired by the book The Mitten  by Jan Brett.  In math students who were not done completed their T-Shirt Problem bar graphs and we spent the week playing math games! Some of the math games included Candy Cane Count-On and Snowman Bump. In Science we learned about matter and how it makes up everything in our world. We then looked at the different states of matter: solids, liquids, and gas. Depending on the state, we learned that the particles are spread apart or closer together. Students then took part in a scavenger hunt defining items based on their state of matter. Students also completed a sort to demonstrate their understanding of the three states of matter.  In Social Studies students finished up their Sacred Teaching pages about courage. We will learn about the remaining teachings in the new year. In writing we finished up our Favourite Food Writer's worksho
