Thank You

Room 5 families, I can confidently say this year was an incredible year teaching and I owe it to you and your amazing children! Thank you for your continuous support, generosity, and enthusiasm throughout the year as we navigated the transition back to mostly "normal" practices outside of the COVID-19 pandemic. I am truly grateful and filled with joy as I reflect on all the amazing opportunities we had, and the incredible growth each child has made.  I could not have asked for a better group of students to spend the year with,  and of course you, our great LBS community.  I wish you and your children the best as they move on to grade 3 and 4, and I look forward to seeing everyone at LBS when we return in September. Have a restful and wonderful summer! With gratitude, Miss. Greenhall

Hello families, What a great last full week of school! We started the week by releasing the butterflies just outside of the school field. T hey were great to have in our class but we know they will enjoy their new homes in the community much better!

We are so excited to be able to host a Lake Bonavista School Sports Day in 2022! Sports Day will be taking place on Friday, June 24 from 8:30am-12:15pm. On this day, students will begin in the gymnasium for a pep rally and then travel with their class and their neighbouring class outside to participate in group activities and games. Parent Council has generously provided healthy snacks all students to enjoy for the end of the day!   Here are some things to keep in mind: Wear athletic clothing and shoes Pack a water bottle and snack (we will have two snacks this day) Please wear sunscreen and bug spray Despite the forecasted rain, we will be moving forward with Sports Day unless there are thunderstorms, please dress accordingly   Thanks for your support! Hello families, It was another amazing week as the count down to summer begins! We began creating some cubism inspired art, incorporating our study of insects into it.  Throughout this art students are practicing their sketching and line skills, as well as the use of oil pastels.

Hello families, This week we spent a lot of time outdoors between our tai chi residency and sit spots. We have moved into fiction writing in Language Arts, so of course we had to create comics during one of our sit spots!

Hello families, This week we were introduced to some crawling friends... caterpillars!  Students began their exploration by wonder mapping about their caterpillar.  We then moved on to creating a "B" is for butterfly sketchbook page. This is where we will be including all of our butterfly exploration and facts.
