These include more complex ways such as expanded form, number lines, and standard algorithm (stacking). Students completed an addition assessment to show their understanding and growth from January! These will be shared with you at conferences.

Hello families, This week in Art we completed our Picasso inspired self portraits. They look amazing!  As we discussed and interpreted some of Picasso's art. students came up with some great questions that they would want to ask him if they could:  What inspired you to paint? What kinds of shapes did you like using the best? How long did each painting take you? How long was the blue period?

Hello families, This week we continued learning about animals in the winter, focusing on adaptations as well as signs of animal and human activity. It was great to see students applying their learned knowledge during our field trip on Thursday. There is nothing better than learning from nature!  Thank you to our AMAZING volunteers for making the trip such a memorable experience for the kids. We couldn't do it without you!
