Hello families, This week we started some new projects! Here is what we got up to:  In art and science, students explored how animals survive during the winter in both natural environments and urban settings. They learned and used scientific vocabulary such as  adaptation ,  migration , and  hibernation . Students also explored ways people help keep animals safe, including building wildlife bridges and crossings, using garbage cans properly, and not feeding animals. Inspired by  Over and Under the Snow  by Kate Messner, students created their own artwork to represent animals and the hidden world that exists beneath the snow during winter.
