Hello families, This week we focused on preparing for student-led conferences. Students have been working so hard on their work and are excited to share it with you! In between these tasks we took part in: Math games! Beginning to learn about the    Miꞌkmaq and Acadian peoples of the East coast. Completed our last Esti-Mystery for this week! Free Write: many students this week decided to write stories using picture prompts and riddles. So fun! Art for an upcoming fundraiser called Art Card (more information coming soon) We also started our next science unit, Rocks and Minerals, with a KWL. Have a great weekend! Miss. Hello families, This week we practiced our mathematical strategies such as repeated addition, skip counting, arrays, and pictures to solve equations. To demonstrate their understanding, students created some Mart (Math Art) of arrays. These were inspired by the famous Kandinsky circles.

  Our Book Fair has started. The link below is active.   We are pleased to be hosting a hybrid ( In-School and Virtual) Scholastic Book Fair from Friday, March 4, 2022 until Friday, March 11, 2022.     Our class will get an opportunity to visit the Book Fair on  Tuesday, March 8 th .     Your child will receive a Book Fair Wish List that they can fill in while visiting the book fair. This form will be sent home for you to view, if you would like to purchase anything from your child’s wish list you can choose to use the virtual book fair link (below) or  initial next to the item you would like to purchase and send in exact cash in an attached envelope or baggy. Hello families,  Here is some information for our upcoming Student-Led Conferences on the evening of Thursday March 10th, and the day of Friday March 11th.  Conference  bookings will open to parents on   Wednesday, March 2 at 6:00am .   Grade 1-6 bookings are 20 minute slots for 15 minute interviews to allow for  transitions Bookings close Thursday, March 10 th  at noon  Book one spot per child Please review the items sent home with your child prior to the conference and ensure your child is present to share these with you during the conference
