 Hello families,

Here is what we got up to this week: 

In art and science, we learned about natural pigments and explored the fascinating history of colour. Thank you to everyone who sent in pigment supplies.As part of our exploration of ethnobotany, the students had a wonderful time experimenting, creating, and discovering how plants and other natural materials have been used to make colours throughout history.














 


 

In mathematics we solved word problems. Word problems help students apply math to real-life situations and build understanding of mathematical language.





We also started learning about fractions!

Our Inclusive Hoops wheelchair basketball residency was fantastic!

 

B is for butterfly non-fiction pamphlets are completed!





We finished the novel The Wild Robot! Room 9 joined us on Thursday for the viewing of the film and we discussed the similarities and differences between the two.

Tuesday was our final Tea Time Tuesday of the school year. Mugs were sent home. It has been wonderful to watch the students develop their Montessori practical life skills, independence, and social skills during this special monthly tradition.
