Hello families,
This is what we got up to this week:
In writing we continued decomposing fairytales to prepare for creating our own stories next week. We also explored character traits and how characters develop over time. Students began designing their own original characters, which has been very exciting for them.

In word work we learned about vowel teams with u and e through Words Their Way sorts and levelled decodable texts.
In Social Studies we continued developing our coding skills for our ozobot Canada tour project. With their assigned partners, students began teaching each other about the provinces and territories they researched and planned how to incorporate them into their map tour.
In mathematics we learned how to add and subtract on a 100s chart, jumping up and down for the tens place value, and sliding left and right for the ones place value.
Snake and Stamp Game Practice
It was our last week of gymnastics and students loved Mission Impossible!
Have a wonderful weekend,
Ms. Greenhall
