October 3rd 2025
Hello families,
The week was short and sweet! Here is what we got up to:
We wrapped up our sketchbook pages from Orange Shirt Day last week.
October Calendars
Students demonstrated their mathematical knowledge of patterns using different attributes to create math art or "MART". Students referred to a checklist to ensure they followed the pattern rules and added their own artistic flair. We will continue these once we are back.

We learned a new math game with Ms. Adamson's class: Off the Board! Odds and evens on a 100s chart. All you need is a 100s chart, dice, and place holders. Start at 50, roll an even and you move forward that number, roll an odd and move back that number. First to 100 wins!
In literacy we learned about the letter F. Students continued to utilize "sky, grass, dirt" paper, picture dictionaries, or sentence starters to develop their writing stamina.
During Daily L.A. students were introduced to their groupings. In the "work on writing" station students began their A-Z Gratitude Journals. We also continued to explore the literacy Montessori materials, and games.
In gym we learned some new parachute games and played dodgeball!

I wanted to take a moment to let you know that your children and our classroom community will be in my thoughts while we are away from school. I truly look forward to being back with them soon—to continue our learning together and to celebrate the joy, curiosity, and energy they bring every day.
Thank you for your support during this time. I can’t wait to see everyone back in the classroom.
