Hello families,
This week we continued learning about care for self, others, and place. This included how to have Peace Talks. Here is what else we got up to!
Self Portraits
We then moved into the UFLI literacy program. Starting with the letter A. Students wrote down words or sentences depending on their literacy level. In our mixed grade classrooms students are provided with differentiated levels of work to meet their learning needs. It is also their responsibility to choose their "just right" level to ensure the work is challenging but manageable.
We also began learning about patterns in math.
As a class we created a classroom connection "quilt" to illustrate all the ways we are connected in our classroom. This aligns with our year long school inquiry: How are we connected?
Responsible Work Choices of the Week
Scholastic Book Orders
Scholastic book order flyers were sent home this week. If you are interested in ordering you can use our class code which helps us earn money towards new classroom books! Your order will be shipped to the school and I will send them home with your child when they arrive. Orders for this flyer are due Friday October 17th.
Sketchbook Cover Volunteers
I am looking for a couple volunteers to start assembling our sketchbook and field journal covers. If you are interested and have an up to date CBE police clearance/signed this year's volunteer form, please send me an email. Thank you!
Have a wonderful weekend,
Ms. Greenhall
