Hello families,

This week students completed their multimedia art for their sketchbook covers. They look amazing!

In math we continued to practice skip counting as well as filled out an October calendar using leaves to create a pattern.

Our class also started math groups. The current stations are math games, Montessori math materials and math with teacher. This time allows for students to practice the skills we have been learning alone or with a small group.

In literacy we reviewed the letter E, all vowels, as well as practiced making CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant words).

In  Science we talked about the "signs of Fall" and the different ways nature shows us that the seasons are changing.

On Wednesday we took our S.T.E.M. learning outside and collected leaves, using them to make some art and graphing the data!

On Friday we talked about being thankful and joined Ms. Midgley's class for a walking field trip. Before we went she read the book "Giving Thanks". Then we checked out the newly planted trees at the community park during a sit spot.

Here are some responsible work choices made this week!

*A reminder that field trip forms are due Wednesday October 11th*

Have a wonderful weekend,

Ms. Greenhall
