Hello families,
This week our Nature Kit was Riley park. We looked at a variety of artifacts from the animals and plants in the area. Students took part in several thinking routines in their field journals by stating their wonders, observations, and scientific connections.
We also began our Geometrocity math projects. Students apply their knowledge of geometry and a prairie community in Canada by creating a 3D town. Each grade was given a success criteria checklist with steps to follow. So far they are looking great!
In science and writing we continued our drafts of the National Geographic books. We will be starting our good copies next week!
On Thursday we celebrated Pajama day! Students were so excited to bring their stuffy friends to school and show them all about being in grade 2/3.
