Hello families,

We have completed our Art Cards. They will be sent in next week to be scanned and formatted into blank cards for you to purchase. More information to come as it is sent out to staff. This art turned out absolutely beautiful!

To share about our Spring Breaks, we created journey maps highlighted the most important things that happened.

Continuing with our poetry unit, students brainstormed, drafted, revised, and published gratitude poems. These could be about anything other than a person. Check out some of their work here:

In science we completed our last concept map about Metamorphic rocks. We then took a look at some fascinating fossils. Students used magnifying glasses to zoom in and sketch the fossils of their choice.

Student continue to move through the Words Their Way Program. Many have moved up several levels onto more difficult sorts.

In math we have been working on completing Number Detectives, these are activities where students follow clues to narrow down their answer to a final number (much like our Esti-Mysteries).

We also learned a new math game called collected data and graphed she Spring favourites, and took part in a math assessment based on regrouping and multiplication (for grade 3s).

In Daily LA two new stations have been introduced. One is reading comprehension as a group and the other one is sight word spelling practice.

Have a wonderful weekend,

Miss. Greenhall
